What El Margo came to me with.
The German YouTuber and influencer El Margo, with over two million followers across his platforms, approached me to develop and expand his social media presence. Before working with me, he had no short-form content on any short-form platforms and was primarily focused on YouTube videos. His request was to turn his existing YouTube videos into engaging short-form content. He asked me to take over the entire editing process as well as publishing the content across all relevant platforms.
What i came up with.
We quickly settled on a consistent output of two to three videos per day, which we have maintained since the end of 2024 across more than four platforms. Facebook has proven to be the most important platform throughout this process and continues to be so today. Across all platforms, the short-form clips have generated several 100 million views, as well as several million interactions.
The challenge.
The biggest challenge is maintaining consistency and handling the editing and publishing process on a daily basis. However, this quickly turned out not to be an issue. Thanks to reliable planning and effective time management, I have never missed a single deadline.
Technical implementation.
For the editing process, I use DaVinci Resolve. I chose it because it makes the workflow particularly efficient. I can duplicate and manage several hundred timelines within a single project and continuously adapt them as needed, while keeping render times manageable. For publishing, I always use the studio tools provided by each platform, such as Meta Business Suite for Facebook, TikTok Studio, and YouTube Studio.
